ABOUT
Scott Jedlinski is the owner and lead instructor of Modern Samurai Project, bringing decades of martial arts and firearms experience to every class he teaches. A lifelong martial artist with roots in Taekwondo, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Scott blends the discipline and precision of traditional combat arts with the efficiency and performance mindset of modern shooting.
With hundreds of hours of professional training from some of the most respected names in both the self-defense and competitive shooting worlds, Scott has developed a teaching approach deeply rooted in the principles of athletic performance and martial arts. His methods emphasize movement, efficiency, and body mechanics—treating shooting as a refined athletic skill rather than a purely mechanical task.
A USPSA Master Class shooter, Scott is also the 16th recipient of the prestigious F.A.S.T. Drill Coin (#15) and the fourth recipient of the Point 1 Elite Standards Coin. His lifelong commitment to learning and performance excellence is further reflected in his achievement as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Tony Passos and Vicente da Silva Jr.
Scott has been afforded the honor of instructing members of Pentagon ERT, US Marshal’s Service, NYPD Instructor Cadre, Chicago SWAT, Ohio Tactical Officers Association, Texas Tactical Police Officers Association, George Mason University Police, Santa Ana CA PD, the FBI National Tactical Training Unit, US Border Patrol’s FMU, Phoenix PD, Garland Texas SWAT, Houston SWAT, Houston Narcotics and many more.
While Scott can teach many aspects of the successful implementation of a pistol, his main focus is the instruction of the red dot equipped pistol.
